In the area of mobile waste containers, the relevant European Standard is EN840 – the most demanding specification for waste containers worldwide. Covering either 2 or 4 wheeled containers, with varying capacities and specifications, EN840, is the recognised standard that container manufacturers should adhere to. Why? Because it coincides with EN-1501 (refuse vehicles and their associated lifting devices), ensuring that containers and vehicles operate safely and efficiently. UK manufacturer Taylor has taken the lead on EN840 accreditation, by investing in its own Test House: the UK’s only fully accredited R&D facility that ensures customers enjoy the most durable and safest waste and recycling containers in the world.
