How can I dispose of my mattress egologically?

Question by ellagirl: How can I dispose of my mattress egologically?
My sister bought a new bed for my parents, so I took my parents old mattress for my bed at my apartment. I had an even older mattress that I would like to dispose of. Where can I take it? Is there a place I can take it to that would be more egological than the rest? Are there any mattress recycling centers? How do I find them?

Put it on craigslist for free. People are always looking for free stuff
